I had the good fortune to have studied for my undergraduate degree in philosophy at Western Washington University, which boasts an outstanding philosophy department and has produced more than its fair share of professional philosophers and philosophy Ph.Ds. These are the WWU philosophers:

- Del Ratzsch – ’71
- Roger Gilman – ’73 (Retired as Dean of Fairhaven College, WWU, in 2013)
- Jane Kneller – ’77
- Paul Woodward – late ’70s
- Robert L. Frazier – ’81
- Kris McDaniel – ’98
- Ryan Wasserman – ’99
- Justin Klocksiem – ’99
- Joshua Spencer – ’02
- Christian Ryan Lee – ’03
- Neal Tognazzini – ’03
- Lars Enden – ’03
- Brett Hackett – ’04
- Shieva Kleinschmidt – ’05

The information concerning students who graduated prior to the 90s was compiled by Tom Downing, who taught at Western from 1968 until his retirement in 2011, and is the Official Historian of the WWU Department of Philosophy. Much of the more recent information was provided by Neal Tognazzini. I am grateful to them both. I think this list is current, but if I missed someone, please let me know.
